Synergistic and emotive harmonies along with wistful finger picking and splashes of delicate rhythms will take you on a gentle carpet ride over mountain streams...
City boy Matt Thomson (vocals, guitar) and country girl Rachel Webster (vocals, guitar, ukulele and tambourine!) comprise indie/folk duo Born in October. After meeting at a songwriter night in Sydney and at the wise suggestion of a much-loved artist and mentor, Rachel and Matt began writing songs together, forging an instant musical connection resulting in the eventual formation of the delightful duo at the end of 2016, and kicking off this year with appearances at the Tamworth Country Music Festival, Burn By Night, and the Nundle Go For Gold Festival.
After the pair's debut EP 'Running in Bare Feet' won Best EP at the Australian Roots Music Awards 2018 they continue to pen new material, whilst nibbling copious quantities of grapes and nuts (their secret weapon song writing fuel of choice). And believe it or not, they were both born in October!
